Elementary SIG Spring Meeting Event 2007
- Saturday, February 24th: Elementary Education
The group will meet at a restaurant in Odenton, Mama Roma, from 11:00am – 2:00pm. The owners are former English language learners. Debra Suarez and Paul Holland will make presentations. These were the presenters requested at the IS meeting at the conference. Please continue to check the website for updates, adjustments and possible inclement weather plans.
- Elementary SIG Spring Meeting Event 2006 was
held on Saturday, February 4th, 2006 at a Korean Restaurant with
guest speakers, Bridget McNamara who spoke on "Altering Guided
Reading Strategeis for the Elementary ELLs" and Mr. Eugene
Easter from Scholastic
Library who showed and gave away free samples of English/Spanish
books and demonstrated the Grolier Online service. In addition,
the participants had an interesting discussion about types of ESOL

Spring meeting 2006
|
- Spring Meeting 2005 was
held on February 12, 2005 from 11:30 a.m
to 2:00 p.m. at a Korean restaurant in Glen
Burnie, MD. We had some social time, share ideas related to
preparing our ELLs for the MSA and get some more information on Praxis
II.
Several attendees brought ideas to share and/or handouts
on MSA-related materials. The spring meeting 2005 flyer.
- November 6th, 2004: At the Elementary Special
Interest Group Meeting at the MD TESOL Fall Conference,
we conducted a survey to gather
the members' ideas and suggestions on spring events. Click here to see the
