Part-time teachers for multi-level classes will teach adults with
limited English proficiency how to listen, read, write, and speak
in English and to learn essential life skills needed in the community.
The course contents are based on Maryland standards for adult ESOL
learners and CASAS competencies. Instructors will play an active role
in developing and adjusting curriculum while working with volunteers.
The contract for the classes is for 10 weeks, with a possibility
of renewal to teach future classes on an on-going basis. Instructors
will be paid for training, prep time, & faculty meetings during

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, English, applied linguistics or
a related field.

BEST) preferred.

Georgetown University’s Center for Language Education and Development
(CLED) is seeking an EFL teacher trainer for its TESOL Certificate
Program in Seoul, Korea from August 1, 2008 to July 31, 2009. The
program consists of two 20-week terms; the first begins in mid-August
and ends in mid-December. The second begins in early February and
ends at the end of June. The successful candidate, who will be employed
by Georgetown University and eligible for University benefits, will
teach three courses each term up to a maximum of 18 hours per week.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday. Salary: $50,000. Round-trip
air transportation and local housing near the training site will be
provided. Minimum qualifications: MA in TESOL or Applied Linguistics;
